These mandala patterns, as I have stated before, come in handy when you get a creativity blockage while drawing, and, can help a beginner create his own mandala. In this mandala tutorial, I show you how to use the previous patterns on an actual mandala. I hope that you will enjoy it and most importantly, I hope that you will try it and remember to share the results with me by leaving a comment below. ***** Video Tutorial ***** How to draw this beautiful yet easy mandala design Materials Needed
Step 1: Prepare the Mandala grid A mandala grid is the structure on which we base our mandala to give it a perfect symmetrical finish. Drawing a mandala grid is very easy especially if we have the proper equipment needed: a compass and a protractor. In case the two equipment are not available you can CLICK HERE to see how to draw a mandala grid without a compass and a protractor. a- Mark the center of your A4 white paper by measuring the center lengthwise and widthwise and marking the point where the two centers meet. Then trace a horizontal line and a vertical line crossing the center cutting, by this, the paper to four equal parts. b- Trace 5 circles that have the following radii: 1 cm, 2 cm, 4 cm, 6 cm and 8 cm. |
Step 2: Fill the Mandala grid with shapes and patterns
a- Draw one regular petal on each 2 grid sections as shown in the illustration below
b- Inside each regular petal draw leaf patterns.
c- Retrace the outline of the first circle.
d- The fourth step in this mandala tutorial is to draw- right above the previous petals- one regular petal on each two grid sections.
