What is a Mandala?

If I want to give you a simple definition of a Mandala, I will tell you that a Mandala is a number of circles, decorated with geometrical shapes, and organized around the same center.

What is a Mandala grid?

A Mandala grid is the base structure needed in a Mandala drawing, especially for beginners, to help achieve symmetry easily.

The grid is composed of a number of circles, that will be traced around the same center, and a number of grid lines.

The measures of a Mandala grid are not standard and they totally depend on the design you have in mind.

As a beginner, you might find it difficult to know how to come up with grid measures alone. Therefore, in this blog and on my channel, I have posted a number of simple mandala designs that each has different grid measures in order to show you how it can be done.

Below I will share with you different Mandala grid models with a side picture of the final mandala result. And I will link each model to its video tutorial or blog article.

And at the end of this post, there is a video tutorial that represents in details what a Mandala grid is and how it's drawn.
